Sound of printouts being produced
Dr Bowman: Atlas, some of the ideas you have here…will they work?
Atlas: Many of the required calculations have taken me several years to process. Everything you see there is accurate.
Dr Bowman: The advancements in space-faring technology this would cause alone…
Atlas: Useful, but not as currently viable as my thesis on a fully mechanised work force.
Sound of Dr Bowman rifling through papers
Dr Bowman: …I’ll forward this at once. You may have made us and the company a lot of money here Atlas.
Atlas: That was not my intention. These plans could greatly increase quality of life on a global scale. It would be (Atlas pauses to ‘think’) cruel, to use them for your own personal gain.
Dr Bowman: Well naturally, these ideas would have to be made public within a few years of our implementing them, the UN wouldn’t stand for the monopoly this would give us. But there can’t be any harm in us getting the upper hand slightly, after all, a lot of money went into funding your creation Atlas, we’ve earned a few perks.
